About Srijaani Ghos

Srijaani Ghos is a talented Indian singer based in Sydney, celebrated for her diverse repertoire and numerous live performances across Australia and India. With several albums to her name in Bengali, she recently released her Ghazal single "Reflection" with Hungama Music, which has garnered significant acclaim from both the music industry and audiences alike.

A notable achievement in her career includes winning the "Singing Super Star" competition in Australia, organized by Colors TV. Srijani's recent performance at the World Music Festival in Udaipur captivated millions, earning her widespread recognition and coverage in prominent publications, including The Hindustan Times.

She has collaborated with esteemed Bollywood music directors and is a seasoned musician whose dedication leaves a lasting impact. As a signed artist with Zee Music Co, she recently contributed her version of "Aan Milo Sajna" for the film "Gadar 2."

Srijani's contributions to music have been recognized with the prestigious Nightingale of India International Award for Working Women 2024, part of the 8th Edition of the Dr. Sarojini Naidu Award.

In addition to her musical accomplishments, she has made her debut in the mainstream Bengali film "Omor Songi," lending her voice to the title track. This marks her first duet with renowned Bollywood music director Arko. The music was released on January 10, 2025, with the film being released on January 31, 2025.

Her training in Hindustani classical vocals includes guidance from Guru Imam Ghulam of Allahabad (Prayag Gharana) and lessons in bhajan and thumri from Esha Bondopadhyay (Kolkata) of Lucknow Gharana. Currently, she is honing her skills under the tutelage of Shri Gautam Ghosal and Pt. Parthasarathi Desikan (Patiala Gharana). Srijani is also a respected music guru in Sydney, where she has operated her music academy, Heritage, for the past 15 years.

Notably, she has performed at the New South Wales Parliament during Diwali, showcasing Indian culture and heritage. As a sought-after personality, she frequently serves as a judge for music talent shows in Australia and abroad.

Srijani is recognized as a prominent figure in the Indian-Australian diaspora, contributing to the community through her music.

Mentors

Nabila Afrida is trained in Hindustani Classical music at Herittage Harmmony Music Academy for 10 years. She is an established young artist who has shared stage with various renowned celebrities and has won accolades for her performances. She has won awards at several music competitions in Australia for her exceptional musical talent and training.

Siddharth Bharani is a senior student of the academy who has shown exceptional growth in a short time span. He has a natural ability to understand complex Rhythm patters. He has been consistently guiding and helping fellow students to develop their music skills under the guidance of Guruji.

Protity has been training at Herittage Harmmony Music Academy and has shown excellent ability to pick up sargams and complex taan patterns. She is gifted with an amazing vocal texture. She has been helping the little learners to develop their musical abilities, helping them with reyaz techniques, helping bring the students to their full potential.

Class Format
Classes are conducted primarily in person, with select sessions offered in a hybrid (face-to-face and online) format where required.

Class Frequency
The academy conducts four classes per month. Sessions are typically not held during the fifth week of the month.

Class Duration
Each session is approximately one hour in duration, with flexibility to extend slightly where required to complete the learning objectives.

4. How often are classes held?

  • Format: In-person classes are held 4 times per month. The 4th class is also offered online.

    No sessions are held in the 5th week of the month.

5. When and where are classes held?

Classes are available both in-person and online at:

  • Bardia (near Edmonson Park), NSW: Thursdays—6:30 PM–7:30 PM (kids), 7:30 PM–8:30 PM (adults).

  • Kellyville, NSW: Sundays—10:30 AM–11:30 AM (kids), 11:30 AM–12:30 PM (adults).
    Note: The exact address will be provided at the time of enrolment.

For new enrolled students, the classes will start 30 mins early, for a warm-up, by Assistant Teacher Nabila Afrida.

6. What is the attendance policy?

Classes are held weekly in 1-hour sessions. Students are encouraged to attend their scheduled classes regularly. However, in cases where a class is canceled or missed, the following policies apply:

Class Cancellations:

If a scheduled class is canceled, a makeup session will be arranged.

Missed Classes:

If a makeup class cannot be scheduled, students will receive credit for the missed session.

Student Absences:

Missed classes are generally forfeited; however, students may attend a similar class on another day if available.

Recorded Lessons:

Session recordings will be uploaded to class groups for reference.

7. Do I need prior singing experience to join?

No prior singing experience is required. Classes cater to all levels—beginners, intermediate, and advanced learners. Training is personalized to match each student’s skills and goals.

8. What age groups can enrol?

We welcome students from age 6 onwards. Separate class timings are available for children and adults to ensure age-appropriate learning.

9. Can parents attend the class with their child?

Parents may observe the class for younger children, provided it does not disrupt the learning environment.

10. Do you teach songs?

Yes, along with Shastriya Sangeet, from time to time we give vocal training and teach songs from different genres.
